LANKA BIO CAO FARMS is setting up the world’s Algae Plantation and crude algae oil extraction facility, using best in class methods to produce a 50% cut of crude algae oil (CAO) and a 50% residual biomass of dry algae cake (DAC).
We developed a commercially viable process for the cultivation of micro algae, on an industrial scale, and the extraction of crude algae oil. This process has been developed over the past 20 years by Peter Kim, a South Korean chemical engineer.

This CAO farm produces Crude Algae Oil (CAO) from microalgae, which is included in seawater. Crude Algae Oil (CAO) is New & Renewable Energy as Bio-Fuel oil. It can be replaced with Fossil Oil through the refinery facilities as Bio-Disel Oil, SAF Oil etc. It can reduce the CO2 emission and can protect the global warming. It can be used as the fuel oil for Diesel Power Plant.
US enforced the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) program began in 2006 to the requirements of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (EPAct) The RFS program is an important US federal policy supporting the production of low-green house gas (GHG) renewable fuels, which are an important element of addressing climate change through transportation policy. Germany, UK, Brazil also regulates Biofuels to be used in transportation industry which has more than 18% of CO2 emission. Many countries enforcing a higher mix ratio by biodiesel EU 7%, US 2 ~ 10%, Canada 2 ~ 4%, Brazil 10%, India 20%, and Thailand 7% (2019) • Korea 3.5% (2021)
